If I had to give a word to this past weekend it would have to be unusual, but in a good way.
My weekend started off with a 4 mile run.Vicki and I met up at our usual spot to run. It was a frosty 34* out, which meant the trail was a little deserted. Once we got about two miles in we saw a deer cross our path. It was the first time we saw deer out there. We didn’t get but a few hundred feet further down the path before we saw a family of deer. The buck made eye contact with us and we stopped. After he made a step at us, we (or me-the scaredy cat) decided to turn around and go back. As you can see, mile 3 was our fastest mile. I guess we were running from the deer 🙂 .
Saturday afternoon, we went to this craft show:
I found out about it through Yelp. It was very hipster and trendy. I plan on going to their next event in April. I found some cool, new Christmas stockings. They are made from burlap coffee sacks. I can’t wait to hang them up!
We were close to the running store so we stopped to pick up my race packet. I was excited for the gloves!
That evening we met up with some friends to go bowling. My nephew has been begging us to take him so I invited him along. He text me saying he was excited to go with us. It will be soon that wont want to spend his Saturday nights with family. I hate how fast he is growing up!
Sunday was a nice relaxing day. It started out with a free Yin yoga class at Lululemon. Then we went up to my inlaws to watch the Bengals game, which ended with a win-WhoDey! That evening, we went to visit with Andy’s cousin Stacey who is in town. Now I just have two days of work to get through before I get to enjoy a five day vacation!
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?
